Kohala Part 2
More black sand
We tried to go snorkeling at Mauna Kea again but the waves were too strong. Did some boogie boarding in the morning and relaxed on the beach. Intrigued by the beauty of Pololu and the tempting black sand beach below, in the afternoon we headed back to hike down and check it out. We also hit up Hawi-town again for some more Short ‘n’ Sweet sandwiches. We ended the final full day (so sad) of our trip with dinner at Merriman’s, a family-style restuarant featuring excellent, fresh Hawaiian cuisine. Charred Ahi!
