The big island is actually big enough to stretch your legs a little bit! We hit the road again, this time driving down the Kona coast. In the morning, we did a snorkel stop at Hounaunau. It didn’t look like much, random parking on the street and a plain rocky outcrop (no beach), but the coral was amazing. The seabed was completely covered with amazing colors and patterns. We then drove to southpoint/green sand beach and finished the day off watching the sunset at Punalu'u (black sand beach). For those of you taking notes, watching the sun go down on the beach every day isn’t a bad way to spend a vacation.
