We spent most of the day in Kyoto before hopping on the shinkansen back to Tokyo. It was the only bad weather day of our trip, absolutely pouring down rain the entire day. We did however get a personal tour of the imperial palace as the rain caused us to be late for our tour and it might have also caused many people not to come.
